You Can Make A Difference For Hens!

Animal Friendly? Naturally Raised? - Demand truth in labeling on egg cartons.

Choose Egg-Free Foods:

Urge the FDA to Require Full Disclosure on Cartons: Animal welfare claims on egg cartons are currently unregulated in the U.S., and as a result, misleading packaging is rampant. Please write a letter in support of a petition filed with the FDA seeking to mandate egg production labels on egg cartons sold nationwide (i.e. "Eggs from Caged Hens") to help protect consumers and hens.

Urge Congress to Pass a 2012 Bill Aiming to Ban Barren Battery Cages:
If passed, the Egg Products Inspection Act Amendment of 2012 would be the first-ever federal law related to the treatment of chickens used for food—and the first federal law related to the on-farm treatment of animals raised for food.  Read more and take action now!
